My name is Tina Leighton
I am just beginning this journey of running my own business, but not new to business. My husband has had his company for six years (Leighton Electric if you need a good electrician click to check out his site) So I am familiar with the process. I have given many reiki sessions and can't wait to share Reiki with everyone. Oh, and Nails! I love doing nails as well. Inner and outer beauty. What more could one want?
about me
I have been with my husband for nearly 16 years. I have 3 step-children that I love as my own. I have had numerous jobs over the years mostly due to moving a lot. I was born and raised in Maine. I did move out of state for 5 years and experienced a faster pace. I am very happy to be home. Currently I work in an assisted living facility. I have also done in home elder care and hospice care. I love working with the elderly and am sad to be leaving them, but I have always followed my heart and gut when making choices and I feel a definite pull to this new path.
So why nails and reiki? I have gone through phases of my life where I really enjoyed wearing artificial nails. When I was manager of a jewelry store I wore them for about 5 years. I have frequently been someone who can learn how to do things just by watching. I did my own acrylics numerous times and enjoyed the challenge of it. Recently I tried Gel tips and love those very much. I again decided to try my hand at doing them myself. When I went back to my nail lady she saw my work and suggested I go to school. The thought stuck and here I go!
Reiki came into my life while on a journey to heal my pain. I was sitting at work because it hurt so much to stand. My coworker listened to all the things I had tried to alleviate the pain and she gently asked if I had heard of reiki. I thought about it and said I had had one experience ages ago where someone got rid of a headache for me. She said she had a book I could borrow if I wanted to know more. I began reading the book and was so intrigued I knew it was for me, but not as a customer, I wanted to learn and do it myself of course! (Are you beginning to see a pattern?) So, here we are. I have completed Reiki level I and Reiki level II. Master Reiki level is next. I have inhaled the book I was loaned plus about a dozen others on Reiki and related topics. I'm very passionate about it and can't wait to share it!
I thought I would open the Nail Spa after attending college and attaining my license. I have discovered that there is much more to learn and I wish to get some additional training and certifications so I can bring you the latest and greatest services. I will open when I am certain I can give you the best. Until then REIKI sessions ARE available, in person and distance.
I hope to see many of you at CHAKRAS, for your nails and a reiki session. It is my goal for everyone to leave feeling better than when they entered. ♥️

I'm a one woman show, I am the only employee. I work out of my home. I have created a comfortable space to welcome you into. It is a peaceful refuge. Step in and leave the stress outside. When you are here it's your time! Have a cup of tea and soothe your soul.
