If you don't have fungus your products will be different, but there are almost always necessary products.
FAQ: How often will I need follow up appointment's?
A: *Every 4-6 weeks is the general answer. It is however, a case by case situation. If I see that there is more work than I can do in an hour and 15 minutes, I will request a sooner follow up. Also each visit improves appearance. As the restoration progresses 8 week follow ups may be enough. It really depends on the severity of the symptoms and the progress being made.
FAQ:If my toenails are better why do I need to return for a follow up?
A: *Because regular cleaning and use of products that are only for professional use during the STAR NT pedicure are an integral part of your care routine. Soaking alone does not accomplish this. Trimming them yourself doesn’t accomplish this. A trained eye keeps new problems from arising during the restoration process. Skipping your follow ups could slow or stop your progress.
Also stopping the routine before a new healthy toenail has completely grown back can also lead to an unsuccessful recovery.
FAQ: How long does the recovery process take?
A: *It takes 12-18 months to regrow a toenail. If your situation is severe it can take that long to fully heal. However, it depends on the severity of your situation, depends on the products
you take home with you and it depends on how often you use them.
Having said that I want to reassure you that there is no judgement. I understand that people are not made of money, and this process can be difficult to afford for some.
I also understand how difficult consistency can be. We start out doing well and then taper off as life gets in the way. With the products, consistency is very important so without beating yourself up, just start again after a missed application or soak. The most important thing is to not give up on it.
All of this information is my effort to prepare you and to be as up front and transparent as possible." ~Tina

The STAR NT or Specialized Toenail And Restoration Nail Technician Certification has taught Tina how to restore nails that are affected by fungus and athletes foot, and toenail conditions such as pincer, impacted, ingrown, thick, discolored, and more. The difference between Athletes Foot and fungus are AF effects the skin and fungus effects the toenails. Both are caused by excess moisture. Tina can also care for a diabetic with these issues. Tina uses and sells the product used by The Meticulous Manicurist, but she has also completed other courses and is certified to use Famous Names products. FN has created a one of a kind product called Aceso that soaks though the nail plate and onto the nail bed below. The nail bed is what nourishes the nail plate. So treating that area improves the situation immensely from the inside. She also uses Imperial Feet products which are from The Netherlands. Their products are highly regarded in the industry. Through careful consideration of your needs and your honest ability to comply with the necessary care at home, She will determine which product(s) best suits your needs. These products can also be used on damaged fingernails as well. Tina is proof of that one. Below you will find just a few examples of feet she is working on.  Be warned these photos are not for the faint of heart.

The pictures to the left (above on mobile) are from a woman who contacted me telling me she was going to have surgery to have her toenails removed. I requested she try my services first. She was in excruciating pain, unable to wear shoes, and couldn't get to me for a little more than two weeks. So I mailed her my recommended trio of products to use until her appointment. The top picture of the toes looking purple were taken the day she contacted me. The before photos are before her pedicure with me and after using the products I sent her that she used for two weeks, twice a day faithfully. The after photos are after her pedicure. Two days after those pictures, I followed up with her to see how her feet felt and she stated "like I never had a problem".

This is a combination of pincer toenails and fungus. This is very common. The after picture are immediately after her first appointment.

This situation below (and left) is from fungus. Moisture builds up between the layers of nail causing them to get thicker. These toes needed a lot of work. She got tired and sore from sitting before they could be finished, so this was completed in two sittings. She went home with products and will return for her follow up. Tina will update. The big yellow toenail really needs the product over time. The other big toenail was removed by a Dr., and she regrets it very much.

The pictures below are of a seriously advanced case of fungus on a diabetic. This is not common. However, this is what CAN happen if athletes foot and fungus are left untreated. This was his first appointment with Tina. He has another one scheduled she will update after.
These pictures below are ones he took himself and sent me prior to 1st appt. The pieces were coming off. Good example of what fungus does inside the nail.
